JOIN THE 50 / 50 CLUB 

The 50/50 Club - one of our most important fundraising projects

• is open to everyone (not simply to Friends)
• is a subscription scheme which builds a prize fund to be drawn quarterly
• has 50% of the fund being used as prize money and the other 50% being added to the Friends’ funds to support Kirkcaldy Galleries.

Members are

• entitled to purchase as many weekly shares as they wish at £1 per share per week
• must pay shares in advance by Standing Order in (i.e. £13 per quarter) on the first day of each quarter (i.e. 1st September, 1st December, 1st March and 1st June)
•  initially committed to 4 draws
•  confirmed as a member on receipt by the Friends’ bank of the first payment and eligible for inclusion in the next draw and thereafter.

Administration

• the quarterly draw is made by a member of the staff of Kirkcaldy Galleries in the presence of the Chairman (or a nominated deputy) and a committee member
• winners are notified within one week of the draw taking place and a cheque is included in the letter
• winners’ names are displayed on the Friends’ notice board in the Galleries and noted in the  Newsletter
• the prize fund varies according to membership numbers (currently around £260.00)
• the quarterly Prize fund allocation is: 1st Prize - 67% of prize fund, 2nd Prize - 22% of prizefund, 3rd Prize – 11% of prize fund
